TASK 2

Week 4
For this second task, we did deeper research on the visuals to develop a definite art direction. We had a discussion on what the client wanted and developed the idea in miro.

June and I were assigned to design the mascot. I did some research on existing mascots and decided to go for a very similar design to the one the clients have picked as a reference. Below are my final sketches of the mascot.

Week 5
This week, we refined our art direction and started designing and developing our ideation.

After receiving feedback from Ms. Lilian, I explored and experimented more with the designs as I was only sticking to the client's references previously. I ended up with 5 different silhouettes of the mascot as the first revision.

I decided to utilize Hadiya's research on her first and initial logo design about spirals and how it is often associated with nature and health. However, in our tutorial session, Ms. Lilian said it wasn't a significant thing to focus on since spiral could mean several things at once.

We presented the sketches created by both June and myself to the client, who then selected specific designs from each of us. Eventually, they ended up deciding that they wanted June's character design with my art style, so I continued refining June's design with my art style.

Here's the final mascot design for task 2 with several poses after all the feedback.

While June and I worked on the mascot, Hadiya worked on the logo.
