INSTRUCTIONS

Exercise: World Creation

Figure 1.0 Exercise: World Creation

In this exercise, I chose the game "Identity V". I researched all the information regarding the design concept of this game and compiled it into a presentation. I then proposed some ideas using the game as the base concept.

Character Design and World Creation (Concept Art)

Figure 1.1 Character Design and World Creation

In Project 1, I proceeded with my initial character design by creating silhouettes first thing. I received some feedback that allowed a lot of changes and improvisations. I then researched and did a lot of trial and errors with color palettes in which suit each of the characters best. Lastly, I did a lot of refinements and subtle changes based on the feedback received. Overall, I made two characters for the game, a hunter and a survivor.

3D/2D Character and Environment (Porting and Testing)

In Project 2, We were required to do a 3D model of one of the characters that we have designed. I decided to proceed with Kyra because I thought it would be interesting to sculpt. Fig 1.2 shows my progress where I used Zbrush to sculpt the initial block out and received feedback in order to continue. I then refined everything and finished the block out as can be seen in fig 1.3. Lastly, I colored the 3D model based on the design that I have created (Fig 1.4).

REFLECTION

This module has been a valuable learning experience for me. It was undoubtedly interesting. However, I did face some challenges with time management and technical issues that slowed my progression. Throughout the module, I learned how to create a world concept and narratives as well as the design execution. Despite the setbacks I faced, I can say that I have learned a lot, making this module highly important and valuable to my personal growth and future.
