Proposal
Our task was to create an innovation movement by utilizing our design skills, while also exploring our creative potential. We were assigned to work on a project that involves creating a design output that aligns with any of the UNDP's 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) of our choice.
For this project, I decided to do a short animation that aligns with SDG's
goal of good health and well-being. My main target is specifically to prevent
and treat substance abuse, including narcotic drug abuse and harmful use of alcohol.

After doing research on this topic to better understand it, I started
collecting and compiling references for the art style I will be doing for this
project. I then continued on creating a character specifically for this
animated short and made an initial storyboard.

In completing this project I did several trials and errors regarding the storyboard I initially made. I sampled some scenes from "Entergalactic" movie, specifically the party scene. This process was definitely time-consuming and I did have struggles managing my time so I made some changes in the execution.
Some of the changes I made are mostly in the storyboard, how it is arranged, and how I decided to cut off some unnecessary frames. Lastly, I decided to make the character black and white instead of colored, because it's less time-consuming and adds to the contrast to the colored background.

Once I finished all my drawings, I compiled them and edited them in Adobe After Effects. I added some transitioning effects like fade to black. I also tried several a background music and eventually used the song "Strange Effect (Killing Eve)" by Unloved, Raven Violet.
