TASK PROGRESSION

Final Pose
Fig 1.1 Poses Final

The final pose I decided to go with is the second pose since I feel like although the others fit the character, it looks a bit stiff, while this character is very graceful. So I wanted to portray that by choosing the second pose since it looks the most dynamic while still looking elegant. The other poses look too scripted and posed in a way and I wanted to capture the movement.

Colored

I did four types of different color palettes for this character. But to fit the style, the overall theme is dark. I ended up with the fourth color palette and combination because I personally like the dimension it gives because of the gradients.

Lastly, I made the splash art to present the character properly.

REFLECTION

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this module. This module has taught me a lot about designing an original character from scratch in an existing universe. I learned the importance of experimentation in order to achieve a good final outcome. I discovered a lot of aspects that may have been overlooked from the character observation and as to why certain characters are well-designed and executed. This experience has been very important and enjoyable for me since this is something I have been and am very much still interested in. I believe the things I learned from this module will be useful for future projects I may be involved in.
